应航天学院Leopoldo Garcia Franquelo教授邀请，宁波诺丁汉大学Giampaolo Buticchi博士于近日来我校访问并展开学术交流活动，欢迎广大师生积极参加。
题目：Transport Electrification for a sustainable future
Giampaolo Buticchi received the Master degree in Electronic Engineering in 2009 and the Ph.D degree in Information Technologies in 2013 from the University of Parma, Italy. In 2012 he was visiting researcher at The University of Nottingham, UK. Between 2014 and 2017, he was a post-doctoral researcher and Von Humboldt Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Kiel, Germany.
He is now Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering at The University of Nottingham Ningbo China and the Head of Power Electronics of the Nottingham Electrification Center. His research focuses on power electronics for renewable energy systems, smart transformer fed micro-grids and dc grids for the More Electric Aircraft.
The progressive pursuit for lower pollutant emission and for a more convenient transport system has been pushing the electrification to all the transportation sectors. This lecture overviews the advancement in the power electronics systems with particular attention to the aircraft transportation. Topologies, controls and electric machine drives will be discussed, highlighting the actual challenges and the future development.
