 受国际合作处短期聘请项目资助,加拿大麦吉尔大学工程学院副院长,IEEE VTS副主席Fabrice Labeau教授将于2016119日在哈工大科学园2A1011室就“如何在IEEE高水平期刊及会议上发表文章”以及“多径无线网络中的业务管理”为题进行讲座。

 【专家简介】

Fabrice Labeau教授现为麦吉尔大学工程学院副院长,是IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS)的上一任主席(President),目前正担任IEEE VTS的副主席及IEEE Sensors Council的主席,近年来在IEEE高水平期刊和国际会议上发表文章百余篇,并担任了IEEE VTS等多个国际会议的大会主席或技术委员会主席。

报告1Publishing in IEEE: practical tips and author etiquette

AbstractThis talk will constitute a practical introduction to publishing within IEEE and its Vehicular Technology Society (VTS).  The discussion will start with a short description of IEEE and VTS, as well as their publishing activities. The second portion of the talk will give practical tips on how to structure papers for IEEE publications and how to select publications and conferences. Finally, the session will conclude with an introduction to commonly accepted principles of author etiquette and their applications in IEEE publishing.

报告2Traffic Management in Multipath Wireless Networks

AbstractIn this talk, we study the deployment of wireless networks in which user terminals are equipped with two or more radio interfaces that can be active simultaneously.  This configuration is a possible consideration for next generation (5G) deployments, and is already used to some extent for WiFi offloading of traffic in cellular networks. We consider first the case of uplink traffic scheduling and balancing for video traffic over multiple homogeneous (e.g. all LTE) interface to several radio nodes. We explore several algorithms that are shown to achieve traffic balancing targets while preserving network energy and reducing delay. We also consider the use of this dual interface in the case of Device-to-device (D2D) relaying in a cellular network. We devise heuristic relaying strategies that are shown to improve significantly the network energy consumption.
