Notice of holding "HanYun Xinshi - International Student Lecturer Competition" by College of International Education
为加强国际学生学风建设，营造更为浓郁的国际文化氛围，更好地帮助国际学生提升汉语水平以及专业知识，国际教育学院将开展“汉韵新师·国际学生讲师竞选大赛”活动，旨在提高学生演讲水平，选拔优秀的国际学生开展汉语、数学、物理等课程学业帮辅活动。
To enhance the academic atmosphere among international students and create a more vibrant international cultural environment, the College of International Education is organizing the "HanYun Xinshi - International Student Lecturer Competition" improve their Chinese and professional skills. The goal is to improve student’s public speaking skills and select outstanding international students to provide academic assistance in subjects such as Chinese, Mathematics, and Physics.

- 比赛形式 Rules：
选手以个人形式报名参赛，经国际教育学院老师培训，在指定课文中选取部分内容制作PPT进行授课。
Participants will receive training from teachers of the College of International Education and required to prepare a lesson by creating a PPT presentation based on selected sections from the specified texts individually.
本次比赛由来华培养部教师代表、学生代表和Hi-Touch助航社工作人员共同担任评委，为参赛选手打分，每位评委打分的平均数为选手得分，根据得分高低进行排名。
The judges for the competition consist of representatives from the Department of International Student Training, student representatives, and staff from the Hi-Touch Boosters Club. Each participant will be scored by the judges, the average of the scores given by each judge will be the final score, the ranking will be based on the scores in descending order.
- 比赛内容Competition Content：
说课、讲课、经验分享、评委问答（预计15分钟以内）
Presentation, Lecture, Experience Sharing, and Q&A with Judges (estimated to be within 15 min)
说课内容为选手简要介绍教学对象、教学内容、教学重难点等（限时2分钟）。
讲课内容为选手自行选择教学内容，利用PPT模拟教学场景，现场演示具体授课过程（限时8分钟）。
经验分享内容为选手介绍自己学习的过程，用什么方法和窍门快速掌握知识，以及未来希望通过哪些方式方法帮助国际学生学业帮辅，以提升他们的知识水平（限时3分钟）。
问答环节由评委老师向参赛选手提问1-2个问题，问答语言为汉语（限时2分钟）。
Presentation:
Participants briefly introduce the subject, teaching content, key points, and challenges of the lesson (time limit: 2 min).
Lecture Content:
Participants are required to prepare a lesson by creating a PPT presentation to demonstrate the detailed teaching process in real-time(time limit: 8 min).
Experience Sharing:
Participants share their own learning process, including the methods and tips they used to quickly acquire knowledge. They should also discuss on how they hope to help international students improve their knowledge through these methods(time limit: 3 min).
Q&A:
Judges will ask participants 1-2 questions, with responses to be given in Chinese (time limit: 2 min).

- 比赛具体要求Specific Requirements：
选手需将授课PPT在11月15日12:00前发至组委会审核。
选手根据日程安排提前20分钟到达报到处候场。日程安排另行通知。
Participants should submit their PPT presentation to the organizing committee for review by 12:00 on 15th of November.
Participants are required to arrive at the check-in area 20 minutes prior to their scheduled time. Further details of the schedule will be announced.

优秀奖若干：国际教育学院手提袋一个
获奖选手将获得勤工助学优先推荐资格，并进入国际教育学院Hi-touch助航社辅导讲师师资库，参与学院学业帮辅活动。

Second Prize(3 recipients): Harbin Institute of Technology’s Rocket Building Block Set
Third Prize(6 recipients):Harbin Institute of Technology’s Badge Set
Excellence Award(Several winners) - College of International Education’s Logo Tote Bag
Winner will receive priority recommendations for work-study opportunities and chance to the Hi-Touch Booster Club's tutor list to participate in academic support activities organized by College of International Education.
