Deep learning has been demonstrated to achieve excellent results for image classification and object detection. However, the impact of deep learning on video analysis (e.g. action detection and recognition) has not been that significant due to complexity of video data. In this talk, I will present our recent work on action detection and anomaly detection in videos.

嘉宾简介：

陈宸博士目前是北卡罗来纳大学夏洛特分校电气和计算机工程系的助理教授。主要研究方向是计算机视觉、图像与视频处理、机器学习等领域。2016年7月至2018年6月在中佛罗里达大学Mubarak Shah的计算机视觉研究中心（CRCV）担任博士后职位。2016年5月在达拉斯德克萨斯大学获得电气工程博士学位，导师是Nasser Kehtarnavaz博士，共同顾问是德克萨斯农机大学的Roozbeh Jafari博士，博士论文获得大卫·丹尼尔奖学金（ECS最佳博士论文奖）。2012获得密西西比州立大学电气工程硕士学位，论文导师是James E. Fowler博士。发表会议和期刊论文80余篇（包括ICCV, CVPR, TPAMI, TIP, TNNLS 等），论文被引用3400余次。陈博士是Neurocomputing，Journal of Real-Time Image Processing，Signal, Image and Video Processing和Sensors Journal国际著名期刊的副主编。他也是多媒体领域CCF A类会议 ACM Multimedia 2019 的区域主席（area chair）, 计算机视觉领域顶会WACV 2019, 2020 的区域主席。
