在这个忙忙碌碌的世界，我们时不时把“时间观念”挂在嘴边。那究竟什么才是“时间观念”呢？怎样的时间观才符合这个日新月异的信息化时代呢？我们一直寻找着答案。心理学家津巴多把“时间观念”分成六类，分别是过去消极、过去积极、当下宿命主义、当下享乐主义、未来时间观及未来超自然时间观。不同时间观有着不同的表现，这次英语角就让我们一起畅谈时间吧！

In our hectic globe, “sense of time” has become a byword. What, in essence, is “sense of time” then? What’s the proper “sense of time” in this ever-changing world? According to psychologist, Philip Zimbardo, there are six ways of thinking about time, which are called personal time zones. They are past positive, past negative, present hedonism, present fatalism, future and transcendental future. People living in different personal time zones have different performances.
Which personal time zone are you living in? Why do you live in your current time zone? Which time zone do you think is the best for modern times? If you could travel through time, what would you do?

有人认为春节的核心在于其习俗。中国幅员辽阔，不同地区的节日习俗千差万别。常见的春节习俗包括家族团圆、吃年夜饭、放烟花、发红包、守夜等，但即使是这些全国通用的庆祝方式，不同地区的演绎也大相径庭。比如年夜饭的菜品。在西南地区，鱼肉、鸡肉、香肠和腊肉必不可少，而枣花糕和饺子则是许多北方家庭的过年必备。

Some say Spring Festival is all about customs. Since China is a vast country, vast in many respects, festival customs are deeply diverse. While common celebrations include family reunion, a big feast, fireworks, red envelopes, staying up late, etc., even those commons, however, are very divergent in different parts of China. The big feast, for example, may be of fish, chicken, sausages and seasoned meat in southwestern provinces while jujube pastry and dumplings are a must for many northern families.
What are some of the interesting SF customs in your hometown? Which custom do you enjoy the most (let’s exclude red envelopes)? Is there any historical background behind your local SF customs?
